The SPIROLYSER Q13 is a computer-connected spirometer used to measure lung function in adults and children aged six years or older. Trained healthcare professionals use it in hospitals and clinics. Its tests include slow and forced vital capacity and maximum voluntary ventilation, with measurements before and after medication.
The patient breathes through a single-use Qflow sensor held in the device handle. The sensor is a Fleisch-type pneumotachograph: air passing through parallel capillaries produces a pressure difference that is used to determine flow. The connected computer supplies power through USB.
Software and Results
SPIROWIN EXPERT software calculates respiratory measurements, displays flow-volume and volume-time curves, and stores test data. Results require interpretation by healthcare professionals trained in pneumology.
