Nox RIP Belts Disposable Pediatric are respiratory effort sensors used with sleep recording and polysomnography systems. They are intended for patients older than two years and can be used in hospitals, sleep centers, clinics and the home, when the connected recorder is intended for that environment.
Two belts measure breathing effort, one around the chest and one around the abdomen. Both use respiratory inductance plethysmography. The belts contain passive components and do not perform signal processing; the connected sleep recording equipment acquires their signals.
Belt Connections
The disposable belts use proprietary Nox snap connectors. Nox belt cables connect the abdominal belt to Nox recorders, while the thoracic belt attaches directly to the recorder. Separate third-party belt cables support compatible external sleep recorders.
