BONHAWA Respiratory Humidifier delivers warmed, humidified high-flow gas through a nasal cannula. It is intended for spontaneously breathing hospital patients weighing at least 20 kg whose upper airway has not been bypassed. The system adds heat and moisture while providing oxygen mixed with air.
An internal blower combines filtered room air with an external oxygen supply. Gas passes over a heated water bath, then through a heated breathing circuit to the nasal interface. An oxygen sensor monitors delivered concentration, while professional users set and monitor flow, oxygen concentration and temperature.
Patient Interface and Limits
Flow ranges from 2 to 70 litres per minute according to the interface, with pediatric and adult ranges of 2 to 25 and 10 to 70 litres per minute respectively. The interface, heated circuit, chamber and adaptor are single-use. Unresolved tension pneumothorax and facial trauma are contraindications.
