The Passy Muir PM-APF15 filter attaches to the 15 mm hub of a tracheostomy tube to filter inhaled and exhaled gases. It is intended for patients breathing without mechanical ventilation who are awake and alert or monitored by a trained provider or caregiver.
Electrostatically charged filter media capture bacteria, viruses and other particles. The lightweight filter attaches and removes with a gentle twisting motion and is supplied nonsterile for one patient.

Patient and Duration Limits
Use is limited to 24 hours. It is intended for adults with tidal volumes above 300 mL and pediatric patients above 80 mL, and must not be used in infants or neonates. Settings include clinical care and the home.
