The Nuvo Nano is a portable oxygen concentrator for patients prescribed supplemental oxygen. It takes in room air, compresses it and passes it through molecular sieve beds that retain nitrogen. The resulting oxygen enriched gas is delivered through a nasal cannula in pulses triggered by the patient’s breathing.
Two sieve beds alternate between producing gas and releasing retained nitrogen. The delivery control adjusts the pulse volume according to breathing rate, and five settings provide increasing amounts of oxygen. A sensor checks the oxygen concentration before the gas leaves the device.
Power and Setting
The concentrator can operate from a detachable rechargeable lithium ion battery or an external AC/DC supply. It is intended for use at home, in institutions and during travel or mobile activity.
