The Foresight ICE catheter provides ultrasound views from inside the heart and vessels in adults. Used with its console, it shows cardiac and great-vessel anatomy, physiological information and the position of other devices during intracardiac procedures. The catheter is supplied sterile for single use.
The 10.3 French catheter supports real-time two-dimensional side- and forward-looking views. The physician steers it by deflection and rotation and adjusts the transducer position to obtain different viewing angles. It connects to the console through a patient interface module.
Imaging Functions
The system can reconstruct three-dimensional views, including ECG-gated images, from catheter data. Color and pulsed-wave Doppler provide flow information, while the console displays and manages the images.
