BP2A is an automatic upper-arm blood pressure monitor for adults. It measures systolic and diastolic pressure and pulse rate using an inflatable cuff and oscillometric signal processing.
An internal pump inflates the cuff, and an electronic valve controls deflation. A pressure sensor records pulsations in the cuff, which the device’s software analyzes to calculate the measurement.
Cuff and Data
The cuff fits upper-arm circumferences of approximately 22 to 42 cm. The monitor uses a rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery and includes Bluetooth data transfer to a compatible device such as a smartphone. The separate BP2 model in the wider family adds ECG electrodes; BP2A is the blood-pressure configuration.
