The Infinity CNAP SmartPod continuously monitors arterial blood pressure noninvasively in adults under the care of medical professionals. It connects to a compatible Infinity Delta-series patient monitor, which displays systolic, diastolic and mean pressure values and the derived arterial waveform.
An occluding dual-finger cuff contains light-emitting and light-detecting sensors that track changes in finger blood volume. These measurements provide beat-to-beat pressure changes. Oscillometric blood pressure measurements calibrate the finger measurements to absolute pressure values.
Compatibility and Limits
Compatible monitors include Delta, Delta XL, Kappa, SC7000, SC8000 and SC9000XL. Reduced finger blood flow or increased stiffness of finger arteries can affect performance. The device is not intended for patients with vascular implants at the measurement site and is not MRI compatible.
