The Abiomed 14 Fr Low Profile Introducer Set provides vascular access for introducing and removing the Impella CP catheter and ancillary devices. It is a sterile, single-use prescription set containing an introducer sheath and tapered dilator compatible with a 0.035 inch guidewire.
The sheath remains in the vessel after the dilator is removed. Its proximal hub includes a hemostasis valve, three-way stopcock, flush port and suture pad. A coil-reinforced polymer sheath body provides the 14 Fr insertion profile, with a stainless-steel reinforcement coil supporting radiographic visibility.
