Registry build 21.09.26

Destino is a steerable guiding sheath for placing diagnostic or therapeutic devices inside the heart. Its handle deflects the distal end of the sheath, helping direct an intravascular device toward the intended location.

The assembly consists of a shaft, steering handle and side port. A dilator accompanies each sheath, and the distal tip is reinforced using multiple biocompatible materials.

Access and Fluid Connections

The handle side port permits aspiration and flushing. The dilator fits and locks into the sheath hub, with a tapered transition between their tips. These features serve different parts of the access assembly: steering, passage of the introduced device and fluid handling.

Recalls

3 of these are Class I. Class I is the FDA’s most serious grade: a reasonable probability of serious injury or death. Class II means a temporary or reversible health consequence. Volume alone is not a quality signal: a manufacturer that ships more recalls more.
