The ACIST Kodama Catheter is an intravascular ultrasound catheter used with the ACIST HDi System to examine coronary and peripheral vascular pathology. Its distal transducer sends ultrasound into surrounding tissue and receives echoes for cross sectional imaging.
The catheter operates at 40 MHz or 60 MHz. Signals return through a coaxial cable within its drive cable to the separate HDi console, which processes the data and reconstructs real time images.
System Connection
A patient interface module secures the catheter and supplies mechanical rotation to its imaging assembly. An optional linear translation system enables controlled automatic pullback, while manual pullback remains possible. The imaging system is indicated for patients who are candidates for transluminal interventional procedures.
