The Phoenix 2.4 mm by 130 cm Atherectomy System removes plaque from peripheral blood vessels. Its catheter carries a front cutting tip driven by a battery powered motor in the handle. Debulked plaque is continuously moved through the catheter and handle to a collection reservoir outside the patient.
The catheter tracks over a compatible 0.014 inch exchange length guidewire. A wire support clip holds the wire relative to the handle, and a slider switch activates the motor. The 2.4 mm configuration uses a 7 French sheath and is intended for vessels at least 3 mm in diameter.
Use Scope
The system is supplied sterile for single use. It is intended for peripheral atherectomy and excludes coronary, carotid, iliac and renal vessels. The catheter and handle form the functional system with the wire support clip.
