The Amplatz Goose Neck Snare retrieves and manipulates foreign bodies in the cardiovascular system. Its preformed loop is advanced through a catheter and controlled from outside the body to engage the target object.
The snare uses a nitinol cable and a gold-plated tungsten loop. Its superelastic construction allows the loop to pass through the catheter and recover its intended shape.
