Atellica CH Enzymatic Creatinine 3 measures creatinine in human serum, urine and lithium-heparin or dipotassium-EDTA plasma. The in vitro diagnostic assay runs on the Atellica CH Analyzer. Creatinine measurements support diagnosis and treatment of renal disease and monitoring of renal dialysis.
Pretreatment enzymes remove endogenous creatine and sarcosine. Creatininase then converts creatinine to creatine, followed by conversion to sarcosine and production of hydrogen peroxide. With peroxidase, the peroxide drives formation of a reddish-purple pigment whose absorbance is measured at 545 and 694 nm.

Measurement and Calibration
The measuring interval is 0.15 to 30.00 mg/dL for serum or plasma and 2.00 to 245.00 mg/dL for urine. The assay uses single-point calibration with the Atellica CH Chemistry Calibrator and is standardized to NIST SRM 967.

12 of these are Class II. Class II means a temporary or reversible health consequence. Volume alone is not a quality signal: a manufacturer that ships more recalls more.
