Registry build 21.09.26

Advia Centaur VitD quantitatively measures total 25-hydroxyvitamin D in human serum and EDTA, lithium-heparin or sodium-heparin plasma. The assay runs on the Advia Centaur XP system and aids assessment of vitamin D sufficiency.

The competitive chemiluminescent immunoassay combines an acridinium-labeled anti-vitamin D antibody, anti-fluorescein-coated paramagnetic particles and a fluorescein-linked vitamin D analog in reagent packs.

Recalls

7 of these are Class II. Class II means a temporary or reversible health consequence. 2 are recorded with the root cause “No Marketing Application”: the device was distributed without the premarket submission its class requires, a compliance finding rather than a defect. Volume alone is not a quality signal: a manufacturer that ships more recalls more.
