XERO-alpha is a handheld dental X-ray source used to produce images with a separate intraoral receptor. A dentist or dental technician uses it for routine dental radiography in adult and pediatric patients.
The device combines an X-ray generator, tube and collimator. High voltage accelerates electrons inside the tube to generate the X-ray beam directed toward the teeth and intraoral image receptor.
Operating Setup
Firmware controls the generator functions. The unit is portable for movement between locations by one operator and is intended for a professional healthcare environment. Image detectors are supplied separately and are required to complete the imaging system.
