The DEXIS IXS Size 1 sensor acquires dental intraoral radiographic images. It is the detector held in the mouth during dental imaging, while the x-ray generator is a separate part of the full imaging system.
The sensor uses indirect x-ray conversion, with a scintillating material converting incident x-rays into visible output. It connects to a computer over USB and supplies image data for dental viewing software. It is operated by healthcare professionals.
Positioning and Image Handling
