The SOTA Cloud Smart Sensor captures digital intraoral dental X-ray images for display and archiving. Trained dental professionals position it inside the mouth during an examination with an external dental X-ray generator.
A cesium iodide scintillator converts incoming X-rays into visible light. A fiber optic plate carries that light to a CMOS detector, which converts it into digital image data. A direct USB connection supplies power and transfers the data to compatible software on a host computer.
Fit and Use
The Size 1.5 sensor measures approximately 29.6 by 41 mm and has an effective imaging area of 24 by 32.8 mm. It accommodates adults and children whose mouths can accept these dimensions. A single use protective barrier covers the sensor during examination; the specified patient population excludes pregnant women.
