This dental glass-ceramic block is a laboratory material for fabricating all-ceramic restorations, including veneers, inlays, onlays, partial crowns and anterior or posterior crowns. The CAD/CAM workflow uses digital information from the patient’s teeth or a tooth model to design the restoration.
Computer-controlled milling shapes the block according to that design. The milled restoration is then sintered in air or under vacuum as part of fabrication. The ceramic contains silica, lithium oxide, alumina, potassium oxide and other oxides.
Material Supply
The glass ceramic is supplied nonsterile for single use in the restoration. The block is further processed in the dental laboratory before the completed restoration is placed.
