Metacem is a resin cement for permanently attaching indirect dental restorations to tooth structure. It is used with a dentin and enamel adhesive priming and bonding system for crowns, bridges, inlays, onlays, veneers and endodontic posts.
A methacrylate base paste and catalyst paste mix from a dual syringe. The mixed cement can set chemically, be light-cured, or use both processes. Dual curing is intended for situations involving dark shades or thick or opaque restorations.
Additional Use and Composition
Metacem is also indicated for core build-up. Its resin chemistry includes Bis-GMA and TEGDMA, with camphorquinone and an amine component. The cement has a stated shelf life of two years.
