Micron Superior is a radiopaque glass ionomer cement for restoring teeth and building up a tooth core. It is a powder-and-liquid material that sets through an acid-base reaction.
The powder contains fluoroaluminosilicate glass, and the liquid contains polyacrylic acid. Mixing the components forms the restorative cement, with setting characteristics depending on the selected shade.
Restorative Applications
The material is offered in A1, A2 and A3 shades, including the listed A2/A3 presentation. It is used for Class III and V restorations, limited Class I restorations, primary teeth and core buildup. These uses concern direct restoration of tooth structure rather than the separate Micron luting-cement application.
