CalApex Manual Mix Paste is a calcium hydroxide and polymeric resin root canal filling material used with gutta-percha or silver endodontic points. It is a radiopaque, non-eugenol material for filling the canal around the selected obturation points.
Two pastes, a base and a catalyst, are mixed in equal portions before use. The prepared mixture is carried into the root canal with endodontic obturation points. This manual-mix presentation supplies the two-part material for that preparation step.
Working and Setting
The material’s specified working time is 16 to 18 minutes and setting time is 20 to 40 minutes. Its shelf life is two years.
