Renew Universal is a light-curing dental bonding agent that combines etching, priming and bonding in one component. Its formulation includes the functional monomers 10-MDP and 4-META to bond restorative materials to tooth structure.
It is used for direct bonding of light-cured composites and compomers, and for dual-cured core buildup composites when those materials are light-cured. Other uses include treatment of sensitive teeth and sealing cavities before indirect restorations.
Restoration Repairs
The adhesive also supports intraoral repair of composite, metal-based and zirconia or alumina restorations. Repair of ceramic restorations requires use in combination with a silane coupling agent.
