Straumann CARES M-Series uses a digital workflow to fabricate customized implant-borne dental restorations. Its pre-milled abutment blanks provide the starting material for laboratory-milled abutments that connect a restoration to a compatible dental implant.
The TAN blanks are titanium-aluminum-niobium alloy. CARES Visual software creates the abutment design from optical impression data, and CAM software converts the design into machine-tool paths within material-specific design limits.

Milling Workflow
The laboratory loads the appropriate blank into the M-Series mill and runs the prepared milling file. Pre-milled connection features are retained while the coronal portion is customized. The wider system also produces copings, crowns and bridges for compatible Variobase abutments, with the restoration material and tooling selected for each design.
