AIR-FLOW handy 3.0 PERIO is a dental handpiece for nonsurgical removal of subgingival plaque in patients with periodontal disease. Its use is limited to pockets up to 5 mm deep after initial periodontal treatment.
The handpiece connects to a standard turbine connection on a dental treatment unit. Internal air and water lines combine with dental powder from a chamber, and the nozzle delivers the mixture to the treatment site.
Handpiece Design
The powder chamber holds 21 grams and sits in line with the handpiece body. A reduced diameter cap and a shorter, slimmer handpiece shape provide the practitioner with access around the mouth. Accessories assist chamber filling and removal of residual powder from the internal channels.
