AIRFLOW Prophylaxis Master combines ultrasonic scaling and air polishing in one dental unit. The scaler removes deposits using a compatible ultrasonic instrument, while the air polishing handpiece projects water, air and dental powder onto the tooth surface to remove plaque, soft deposits and surface stains.
The control unit connects to two handpieces and a wired or wireless foot pedal. It holds an irrigation liquid container and a powder chamber. The system includes a Piezon LED scaling handpiece and an AIR-FLOW polishing handpiece, with a PERIO-FLOW handpiece available as an option.
Periodontal Use
Air polishing is indicated for nonsurgical removal of subgingival plaque in pockets up to 5 millimetres after initial periodontal treatment. Compatible powders include the specified sodium bicarbonate, glycine and erythritol products.
