SunClear Aligners are removable orthodontic appliances for treating malocclusion in patients with permanent teeth, including all second molars. A dentist or orthodontist prescribes a sequence of clear plastic aligners that apply gentle forces to move the teeth in small increments.
Software uses the patient’s dental images to create a planned final tooth arrangement and intermediate stages. The practitioner reviews and approves the plan. Each aligner is worn for the prescribed stage, typically two weeks, before the patient advances to the next one.
Fabrication and Fit
After examination and dental impressions or scans, the laboratory makes models and thermoforms the aligners. They return to the dentist for confirmation of fit, with patient-clinician interaction continuing throughout treatment. The appliances are intended for repeated use by one patient at home.
