Evala Nerve Stimulator is a handheld surgical device for locating exposed motor nerves and testing nerve or muscle excitability. A surgeon applies electrical stimulation during an operation and observes the resulting muscle response to assess the stimulated tissue. The device is sterile and intended for single use.
An integral bipolar probe delivers charge-balanced, biphasic rectangular electrical pulses with no net direct current. The regulated-current output is controlled by embedded firmware that users cannot modify. One-handed controls allow the surgeon to operate the stimulator.
