VenSure is a balloon dilation device for treating sinus drainage pathways in adults through a transnasal approach. It accesses the frontal recesses, sphenoid ostia, and maxillary ostia or ethmoid infundibula, then expands the bony outflow tract by balloon inflation.
The distal segment has an atraumatic tip and can be reshaped with the supplied bending tool to reach different sinuses in the same patient. After placement is confirmed by endoscopic visualization, the balloon is inflated with saline using an inflator.
Procedure Components
The device is supplied sterile for single use. Its malleable shaft combines probe and suction functions; the basic VenSure version can connect to suction or an irrigation syringe through its proximal Luer fitting.
