The Unimicro Auto-Locking Trocar creates a port for introducing instruments during endoscopic procedures. It combines a bladed entry tip with a cannula that remains as the instrument passage. The tip includes an internal shield designed to cover the cutting edges after entry into the body cavity.
The cannula assembly includes a universal seal, valve and stopcock. Instruments pass through the established access port during the procedure. The Auto-Locking configuration is available in 5, 10 and 12 mm sizes, with its shielded blade design distinguishing it from the other trocar forms in the range.
Supply
The trocar is a disposable surgical access device supplied following ethylene oxide sterilization. Its cannula and obturator form the access arrangement used to establish and maintain the endoscopic instrument route.
