AVTB Disposable Trocars create an abdominal access path for endoscopic instruments during minimally invasive surgery. After entry through the abdominal wall, the casing remains as a working channel for instruments such as an endoscope or endoscopic stapler.
The assembled device uses a puncture rod for entry, which is withdrawn once the casing is positioned. Sealing components and a choke valve limit gas leakage around the access channel so that the abdominal pneumoperitoneum can be maintained during instrument insertion and removal.
Gas Connection
A gas injection valve connects the trocar to the insufflation equipment, with a switch controlling this connection. The AVTB design includes a casing, puncture rod assembly and upper sealing assembly. Listed models include 5 and 12 size versions with a 100 length designation.
