The Hasson Trocar provides an entry port for endoscopic instruments during laparoscopic procedures. It has a blunt tip designed for open laparoscopy and a cannula assembly that remains available for instrument access. The Hasson design is offered in 10 mm and 12 mm sizes.
The cannula assembly incorporates a fixation device, universal seal, valve and stopcock. These elements form the access assembly through which instruments are introduced during the procedure. The blunt obturator tip is the distinguishing insertion component of this trocar design.

The trocar is disposable and supplied sterilized with ethylene oxide.
