The Standard Trocar creates and maintains an entry port for endoscopic instruments during general or abdominal minimally invasive surgery. Its cannula provides access through tissue planes or spaces, while an obturator and introducer sheath assist placement.
The device accommodates instruments with a 19 mm outer diameter. An included 5 mm adaptor allows smaller 5 mm instruments to use the same access port.
Materials and Supply
The trocar is made from medical plastics and is supplied sterile in a tray with a peel lid. It is sterilized by gamma irradiation and intended for one patient during a single laparoscopic procedure.
