Xpan Universal Trocar System provides access for abdominal and thoracic diagnostic or operative procedures. Its 3 mm expandable trocar can widen radially to accept instruments up to 12 mm, supporting primary or secondary puncture access.
The expandable shaft has exterior ribs for retention in tissue. It can be assembled with 5 or 12 mm Xpan obturators before or after tissue insertion. The system is intended for single use.

The family also includes 5 and 12 mm cannulas with optical bladeless tips. Detachable valves on these cannulas permit specimen removal or rapid desufflation. The access system supports procedures with or without visualization.
