The M Biopsy Coaxial Biopsy Needle guides a compatible biopsy needle into soft tissue for collection of core samples. Its indications include sampling the liver, kidney, prostate, spleen, lung, thyroid and lymph nodes; it is not intended for bone biopsy.
The coaxial needle is positioned using imaging guidance such as ultrasound, X-ray or CT. It provides an insertion route for the biopsy needle and is supplied with a trocar-tip stylet, with or without a blunt-tip needle.
