The BOA Endoscopic Valve provides a passage for inserting and exchanging endoscopic devices during an endoscopic procedure. It sits against the endoscope biopsy valve at the proximal biopsy-channel port, allowing an accessory to pass through the valve and into the endoscope.
The valve forms a seal around the inserted device, supports it and maintains its position relative to the biopsy-channel port. Its top rotates during use. This arrangement also limits leakage of biological material from the biopsy port during accessory insertion, use and removal.
