MAJ-1555 is a single-use biopsy valve that attaches to the instrument channel port of an Olympus endoscope. It provides access for inserting and exchanging endoscopic devices and for irrigation during a procedure.
The valve helps maintain insufflation and limits leakage of biomaterial from the biopsy port. It also prevents reflux of body fluids. A lever mechanism prevents reuse after the valve has been detached from the endoscope.
Materials and Supply
The cap and inner rubber component are made from silicone rubber, while the housing is polyethylene. The valve is supplied sterile and disposable.
