AUTOLITH TOUCH fragments biliary stones using electrohydraulic shock waves. A disposable bipolar probe passes through an endoscope, and the operator positions its tip near the stone under direct endoscopic visualization.
A foot pedal activates high-voltage pulses at the probe tip in normal saline. The discharge creates short hydraulic shock waves that break the calculus into fragments for passage or removal.
