The NC° Thermometer Gen3 measures and monitors body temperature orally in adults and children older than five years. It is a reusable battery powered thermometer for intermittent home measurements.
A negative temperature coefficient thermistor in the probe tip changes resistance with temperature. Internal electronics monitor that change, and a predictive algorithm estimates body temperature for display on the thermometer’s screen.
Stored and Connected Readings
The thermometer stores ten readings for review using its history button. Women older than 18 may optionally transfer temperature values to the Natural Cycles smartphone app through Bluetooth Low Energy or NFC. The app displays the temperature and timestamp.
