The DT-100 Non-contact Infrared Thermometer measures body temperature from the face without touching the patient. It is intended for household use by consumers and can be used across all ages, including adults, children and neonates. The specified measurement distance is 30 to 40 cm.
Infrared sensors detect thermal radiation from the face. Internal electronics convert the sensor signal into a digital temperature value shown on an LCD. The instrument operates on two AAA alkaline batteries and can display readings in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
