The S-Cath Interconnect Cable connects the S-Cath esophageal temperature probe to its monitor. It is one of the three named components of the CIRCA Scientific temperature monitoring system.
The probe uses twelve thermistor sensors arranged along an S-curve to measure temperature continuously. Their temperature-sensitive resistance provides the sensing function; the cable forms the connection to the monitor.
Monitor Output
The monitor displays all twelve sensor temperatures and the highest reading. It also includes an alarm system with levels selected by the user.
