The Yuwell YHT101 Infrared Ear Thermometer displays body temperature from thermal radiation in the ear. It is intended for people of all ages except premature babies and newborns from one to 29 days old. The handheld clinical thermometer is reusable and supplied nonsterile.
An infrared sensor converts radiation from the ear membrane into an electrical signal. The circuitry amplifies and processes that signal, using the device’s algorithm to calculate temperature. The reading appears on an LCD screen in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
