CompuFlo Epidural is a computer-controlled syringe system that helps verify needle-tip placement in the lumbar epidural space. It measures pressure during fluid delivery through an epidural needle in adults undergoing an epidural procedure.
A motor-driven syringe mechanism, internal force sensor and external in-line fluid pressure sensor work with a microprocessor and LCD display. The operator uses the screen and optional pneumatic foot pedal to control the verification process.

Disposable Fluid Path
The single-use kit includes a 20 mL syringe, tubing, pressure sensor and identification adapter. The needle and solution are supplied separately. The main unit operates on mains power or its internal battery and is disconnected after needle placement has been verified.
