BD AutoShield Duo is a sterile, single-use pen needle for subcutaneous injection of drugs using a pen injector. Its double-ended cannula is mounted in a molded hub that screws onto the injector.
The cartridge end penetrates the pen’s septum while the other end delivers the injection. Safety shields cover both ends: the patient-end shield locks after use, and the pen-end shield locks when the needle is removed.
