PIC Insupen Original is a sterile, single-use pen needle for injecting medicines under the skin with a compatible pen injector. It can be used by patients, caregivers or healthcare professionals in domestic or professional settings.
The double-ended cannula is fixed into a threaded hub. Screwing the hub onto the pen lets the cartridge end pierce its rubber septum. The patient-facing end delivers the injection after the protective caps are removed. The needle is then unscrewed and discarded.

Construction
The hub is polypropylene, and the stainless steel cannula is lubricated with medical-grade silicone. An inner shield protects the patient-facing needle tip before use. The device is MR unsafe.
