The Biowy PICC Catheter provides short-term or long-term peripheral access to the central venous system for intravenous therapy and power injection of contrast media. It can also be used for blood sampling, infusion or therapy with a catheter of 4 French or larger.
The sterile, single-use catheter is open-ended and made of radiopaque polyurethane. Its reverse-tapered shaft has depth indicators, with the zero mark identifying the taper point. The range includes a 4F single-lumen catheter and a 5F dual-lumen catheter.
Sizes and Injection Limits
The 4F catheter has a 55 cm usable length, and the 5F catheter has a 60 cm usable length. Maximum contrast injection rate is 5 mL per second, with injector pressure no greater than 300 psi.
