APOLEX Tite is a radiofrequency electrosurgical system for electrocoagulation and hemostasis in dermatological and general surgery. It consists of a console, detachable monopolar handpieces, a grounding plate and a footswitch. It is a prescription device.
The console generates 480 kHz alternating current with a maximum output of 50 W. Energy passes through the active electrode into tissue and returns through the grounding plate. Radiofrequency-induced movement of ions heats tissue to produce the electrosurgical effect.
Electrodes and Control
Three electrode configurations differ in diameter and length. They use stainless steel with PFA insulation and are reusable after user steam sterilization. Pressing and releasing the footswitch starts or stops RF delivery.
