The HOTWIRE System Footswitch is an optional control accessory for the HOTWIRE RF Generator. It provides a foot-operated input while the generator supplies radiofrequency energy for cardiovascular transseptal access with compatible RF puncture devices.
The system connects the generator to a separately cleared HOTWIRE RF Guidewire through a HOTWIRE handpiece. The mains-powered generator delivers monopolar energy between the guidewire’s distal electrode and a patient return electrode.
Accessory Configuration
The footswitch is supplied separately from the generator and is identified as FS1 in the system configuration. Its role is operator control; the handpiece, guidewire and return electrode form the connected energy-delivery arrangement.
