The VIVACE Electrosurgical System delivers bipolar radiofrequency energy through a microneedle handpiece for tissue coagulation and hemostasis. At its 1 MHz setting it also supports percutaneous treatment of facial wrinkles in Fitzpatrick skin types I through V.
The generator sends energy through adjacent electrode pairs in a 36-needle, six-by-six array. The current produces heat in the contacted tissue. The console includes an LCD touchscreen, and a foot switch is provided with the handpiece and disposable needle cartridge.
Frequency and Cartridge Scope
The 2 MHz setting is intended for coagulation and hemostasis and has not been evaluated for facial-wrinkle treatment. Each microneedle cartridge is supplied sterile for one patient and must not be resterilized.
