GentleLase Pro is an alexandrite laser system used for temporary and lasting hair reduction, treatment of benign pigmented lesions and wrinkles, and photocoagulation of dermatological vascular lesions. Hair reduction works by selectively targeting melanin in the hair follicles. Hair reduction is indicated for all Fitzpatrick skin types, including tanned skin.
The laser produces light at a nominal wavelength of 755 nm and delivers it to the skin through an optical fiber. The energy heats the target tissue. Air or cryogen cooling cools the skin surface, and the Dynamic Cooling Device applies a burst of cryogen to protect its upper layers.
Treatment Controls
Laser pulses are activated with a finger switch or footswitch. Available spot sizes range from 6 to 24 mm, with pulse durations from 3 to 300 milliseconds. Lasting hair reduction refers to a stable reduction in regrowth assessed after the treatment course.

5 of these are Class II. Class II means a temporary or reversible health consequence. Volume alone is not a quality signal: a manufacturer that ships more recalls more.
